Royal Family Postpones Engagements That ‘divert attention’ From Campaign

Buckingham Palace has announced that the Royal Family is postponing engagement that could potentially “divert attention from or distract from the election campaign”.

This decision follows Rishi Sunak’s announcement of a general election set for July 4th. 

A statement from the King and Queen said: “Following the Prime Minister’s statement this afternoon calling a general election, the royal family will…
– in accordance with normal procedure – postpone engagements that may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign. 

“Their Majesties send their sincere apologies to any of those who may be affected as a result.”

King Charles had only just resumed a fuller schedule of royal duties while receiving cancer treatment.

  10. I'm in shock, so it's not like the Firma people are going to be doing nothing until election day in July! They can now rest from the hard and tiring work they do, and Mr. William now has more time to spend with Mrs. Catherine! And the children will also stay at home, since we are in the election period and they are also royalty 😂

English people are so to face that was the woman you hated and that was the woman that when king brought his first wife home with he’s second son how was just born he dropped them home and left to see tart which he is married to and when he’s mother died she said the tart should not be queen look what he did so how can you trust this man and how he treated his son well he got so low as Meg sister brother father they act like thrash you see what happened to Ruth and husband remember what he said about Harry and his family you see the karma is coming to all you nasty people god is good man

  33. Good decision. King and Queen need to rest. They can still support the charities by doing Zooms and speeches from the Palaces. Catherine is not out and about, and William should be with her and the kids.

  34. Well since the Royal Family and Sovereign don’t Vote, this is rather odd 🤔 What a JOKE as the Queen never did this! The real Question is Harry and Meghan and the distance that is between the father and brother! This is Sad and ANY NORMAL family would have resolved this by now but instead, every message etc….is being Passed on by Courtiers, Newspapers etc….that it’s Pitiful!!!!
