1. When I was studying geology decades ago, I learned what the Ogallala aquifer was, how it worked, and how much trouble it was in.

   Decades ago. And I don’t mean just two of them.

2. I’m glad to see we are still ignoring the issues. How could this turn out bad?

3. An old professor of mine back in the early 2000s would say “nature bats last”. We’re about to see this in real time over the next decade or two.

4. Old news.

   This 2007 book even gave the timeline it will go dry.
