Thank You London

I've never travelled to Europe before, and I'm not sure if London is the best city to start but I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I come from Singapore, and when I visited about 2 weeks ago the first thing I noticed was the air and sky. I also indulge in video games quite a bit, so actually getting up close to the locations I've seen so many times only virtually is just surreal to say the least.

I travelled with my family and when we took the Tube and can I just say looking at the train network map at the station is enough to drive me crazy! We got help though from some helpful man who looked exhausted as hell but he still took the time to give us directions and "get home safe". When we were at a bus stop, we even had a drunk guy (or high idk) greet us, we were alarmed at first because it was dark in a secluded street but I'm glad nothing bad came out of it. After a short conversation and shaking hands, he left and went deeper into the neighbourhood.

We had quite a few encounters with people who offered to take pictures for us to include everyone, and came across a man at Covent Garden Market singing "Country Roads", with couples and families of all ages sitting on benches enjoying the performance with some ice cream. I heard the bells of a church tolling while the muffled voices of people in a pub nearby screaming "Firework" by Katy Perry at the top of their lungs nearby.

I can talk all day about my short one-week visit. It sure felt damn short. But I loved it. I needed it this.
