Forty-four-year-old Ah-ta and 25-year-old Wen-yang are returning to Ukraine for the second time since the war broke out. The former was forced to return to Taiwan after sustaining a shrapnel wound to the thigh. The latter has yet to tell his family that he’s returning to the battlefield. The two of them departed for Europe on Wednesday.
Wearing Ukrainian uniforms and the emblem of the International Legion, these two Taiwanese nationals intend to fight for Ukraine. On Wednesday, they boarded a flight from Taoyuan to join the Russia-Ukraine war.

The other is 25-year-old Wen-yang, who previously served in the R.O.C. Marine Corps. He says his family doesn’t yet know that he’s headed for Ukraine.

I hope (and assume) they can legally serve with the Ukrainian foreign legion, since they do not seem to hide it. I wonder how many Taiwanese serve there?
