There was probably a lot of disruption due to the East India company officially being wound up in the same day
Did you forget to make a note of the appointment in your journal, with your quill?
I’m actually intrigued as to how that happened. None of the botched fixes for y2k I know of would have done that, other well known bugs would revert to 1970
