That referee was, to quote my country’s commentator, savagous.

The referees of the EM really hate Germany, game vs Swiss and now that hand play getting ignored wtf
My german brothers were robbed of a penalty :/.
I’m fine with Spain winning, but I didn’t like how dirty and with how little sportsmanship this game was played over quite some stretches. Constant pushing, tactical fouls, delaying the game and drama queen like acting. Germans did it too, but the Spaniards were definitely a level worse. Carvajal’s foul at the end is exemplary for that.
It’s such a shame. This type of playing really lowers the enjoyment of an otherwise really great game.
We gave more than our best in this game. In our hearts we are the winners
Don’t worry germans, we won’t go through the semis with the amount of players that are left. See you in Mallorca.

PIGS supremacy as always but I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t know anymore what a penalty is. Although it could have been the usual Taylor masterclass.
Spain were putting on an Olympic level diving show, Germany were putting in dirty tackles all game, Anthony Taylor was predictably minus 10 out of 10.
Fantastic game as a neutral tbh.

Bad defending in the decisive situations cost us the game. We can beat spain and Taylor, but failed. But this team looks promising.
