Maybe it’s from the shit ballons that North Korea has been sending them.
I guess family guy was right this time.

Trying to keep food safe and edible is never ending battle. All it take is even one slight lapse in safety to lead into mass infection.
Jesus. I have a sneaking suspicion the ingredient in question that could be a factor might be oysters. Every year or so whenever there’s a bout of norovirus in Korea it’s been commonly associated with them.
I’ll have to look at the local news but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was something oyster related…
EDIT: The city where it happened is also 남원. Already a place known for oyster related dishes, but of course the kimchi production facility may be elsewhere or not put oyster related ingredients in kimchi. Gonna still await more reports but I wouldn’t wish that shit on nobody having had it before
Oh God I had norovirus once. Both ends 🤢
Oh man. I’ve had norovirus before. Absolute worst day or 2 of my life. I just kept throwing up over and over, whenever I tried to take in any liquids I would throw up. And I felt dizzy the entire night I had it, I literally started to hallucinate I felt so sick.
Ironically though it’s fairly harmless, like it’s so unlikely to kill you unless you’re very old. I’ve had covid though which was more pleasant, just sitting in bed and sweating all day. But norovirus really made me feel like I was going to die.
My Korean friends swear that Kimchi is the cure for everything, the true food of the gods. And every village has its own exclusive recipe.
The drag queen or the fermented cabbage dish of the same name?

Anyone else else thought they were talking about the drag queen for one fleeting moment ?
Tainted Kimchi from Kim Chung Un?
