Just landed in Iceland and the first thing I see is the Bude Tunnel – surely this is cultural appropriation. Almost as bad as Nashville building a full-scale replica of the Parthenon.

Disgraceful cheap knockoff. It’s the last Vegas pyramid to bude tunnel’s pyramid of Giza.
This is like when people cite the Egyptian and Aztec pyramids as proof of an ancient global civilization. Clearly the two cultures of Sainsbury’s and Iceland developed the concept of the tunnel individually.
No big conspiracy, nothing to see here. Any other tunnels you find are natural formations and not proof of a national tunneling culture.
Someone needs to go check if our one is still there. This could be it’s gay Icelandic relative…
