  1. Yeah this is my plan for when I’m older.

Shit if I could work from home I’d already move out of the country

  2. The people that can afford to do this are taking a lot of money with them as well.

  3. Colonialism by another means. They’re fucking up countries like Portugal where the locals can’t afford to buy in their area, they’re leaving after being educated because they can’t afford to live in their home cities or towns.

Stay at home and do your make America great again stuff.

  4. But no, oh no there is still 0 problem with your freaking country and your economy is strong.
    Ridiculous

  5. And because fascism, I met already two people from the USA leaving because of this.

  6. They are gentrifying a lot of countries, not only Portugal, there are a bunch of American living now in Colombia, specially Medellin, and people are protesting for them to go home because is becoming unaffordable for people to live in their own cities. As an example a coffee that used to cost 10 thousand pesos 2 years ago now costs 28 thousand, and let’s not talk about rent. The minimum wage in Colombia is 335 USD/month , the average salary is 1200 USD/month, and rent now is consuming 70% of that! Minimum wage cannot afford anything in Colombia now, it is creating internal forced displacement. I understand, because they come with their remote jobs paying them in dollars and disrupt other economies vastly.
