  1. Silky smooth Spanish midfielder retiring? We all know where this is going

Get him in charge of a youth team and we might have our very own xabi

Happy Retirement you king! You’ve been an absolute legend 🥲

  3. Probably one of the most fun players to watch for our club in the last 30 years, just amazing when he was fit. Enjoy your retirement Maestro!

  4. Thanks for everything legend!

Never wanted for him to leave us. I understand the decision tho.

  5. One of my favorite players to watch of the previous decade.
Produced the prettiest goal I have ever seen against Porto and the best no-look pass to Santa Claus ever.

  6. I still love you Maestro, I hope he enjoys retirement. One of my favourite players ever

  7. Sad but for the best, his body was done with playing at the highest level, and anything below that just isn’t good enough for Thiago.

  8. Was secretly hoping to see him coming back, but yeah it might be the best option for him, such a great player, its just unfortunate that he had so much injuries at the end

  9. Love this man. Inject his celebration against Juve a few years ago into my veins

  10. One of my favourite players of all time! His passing was sublime and he had a great heart! Congrats on retirement, Thiago!

  11. Bayern’s midfield was never the same after Thiago left. Happy retirement, legend!

  12. Happy retirement to one of the most slickest and smoothest players I have ever seen. Him and Kimmich were a monster in midfield

  13. My favourite midfielder. Right next to messi and neuer as one of my favourite players ever.

  14. Probably my favorite player to watch at Bayern in the 2010’s. He came to play for Pep but stayed until he won the Champions League. I will always have respect for that.

  15. One of those players who had a little bit of bad luck, between injuries and being a couple years younger than the likes of Xavi and Iniesta, never got to really break through for Spain

Could have gone down as one of the all time greats IMO

  16. He started playing for Bayern around the time I started paying close attention to the team. One of my favorite Bayern midfielders for sure. Thank you for the memories!

  17. My favorite Bayern player and one of my favorite players of all time. Damn shame injuries didn’t allow him to stay fit. Happy retirement legend

  18. Our magician! Made me love the game even more with his smoothness ok the pitch. There are hardly any players with his talent. Made a promise to stay with us until we win the CL and boy he delivered!

Hope he comes back in another role to our club
