Hi everyone! I am currently living in a rental apartment since March of 2024. And my ceramic stovetop showed a little orange spark (inside), and out of the four cooktops, the front two stopped working. I haven’t reported to my landlord yet, as it happened only yesterday evening.
According to the norm, does the landlord pay to repair it as it is wear and tear, and not something that I had caused?
Do I have any rights as a tenant in Germany for the same?
I tried to translate the contract document in German, however the translation is not good enough for me to understand (attached).
I think my Haftplichtversicherung does not cover it as it was not an accident, still want to confirm if I am right here!
Can someone advise on this?
