Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban urged Kyiv on Tuesday to work towards a “quick ceasefire” in Ukraine that could pave the way for negotiations with Russia to end more than two years of war. Orban issued the appeal standing next to President Volodymyr Zelensky during a surprise visit to Ukraine, the first by the vocal critic of Western support for Kyiv.

  12. The war made Zelensky rich. He also thinks that Europe is obliged to help Ukraine. Ukraine is a corrupted country and it is Ukraine that provoked President Putin by massive discrimination of Russian minorities everywhere, especially in Donyetzk and Lugansk oblasts. Ukraine has no history as a country, no literary tradition or cultural centers. It is an agrarian nation that lived for centuries on the verges of Russia, Poland and Austro-Hungarian empire. It was given its borders in 1991, and soon after started tormenting all minorities within its borders, Russians in particular. Zelensky decided it will be OK to start nuclear war because he said so.

  16. I wish that English speaking commentators would stop using the phrase 'international community' when referring to the Russo — clown conflict. Numerically, the 'international community' is China, India, Africa and Russia. When referring to Nato, USA or Uk the phrase, 'predominantly English speaking' would be accurate.
