Speaking in Washington, D.C., ahead of the 75th annual NATO Summit on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed pain regarding Russia’s Monday attacks in Ukraine that killed at least 44 people in five cities and damaged a key children’s’ hospital in Kyiv.

“It’s so difficult to lose children. And, of course, you see these people, you see parents, and when their children are dying or dead… you want to kill Putin. All of us, we want it very much,” Zelenskyy said.

At least three children and a doctor were among the dead following the strikes on Okhmatdyt hospital. Members of the community quickly gathered to help pick up rubble and search for survivors and any bodies.

In the 29-month spanning war with Russia, Ukraine has seen increasing support and aid from other nations and is being promised more amid the 2024 NATO Summit – including more F-16 fighter jets and aid packages to support their military.

  3. Zelensky, you allowed the settlement of air defense missiles pointing at Russia. You also have the Azov Battalion (Neo Nazis sympathizers with weapons) ready to launch attacks!

    As a Canadian pointing missiles vs. signing a peace treaty with your neighbor who owns nuclear weapons.

  7. If you can't fight then you should choose to give up. It's better to lose a leg than to die. No matter how angry you are, the Russian government will still attack you. War is an investment He definitely wouldn't go home empty-handed, it was difficult and true that your friends would come down and fight on their own. (As a leader, you should choose a wise path to survive.) Your friends aren't helping you for free. Everything is for their own benefit. One side needs energy. The other side wants war.

  14. Heard the the Ukraine did this to the hospital because their soldiers don't have the training to handle the weapons that the US is supplying them. In any case this is a terrible tragedy. Pray for the innocent.

  36. Zelenskyy dropped bombs on a public beach in Crimea. I'm sure there were children there too. Now, this man whose presidency has expired is now issuing death threats to the Russian president of 20 years or more. A week ago they were talking about peace; this guy must be bipolar.
