Disappointment, resentment for National Rally after French election defeat • FRANCE 24 English
[Applause] Jordan bellaa took to the stage with a tense look on his face his party the national rally had fallen behind both the new popular front left Alliance and the president Center Coalition his goal of securing at least a relative majority in the French election had Slipped Away the alliance of Dishonor and electoral arrangements made by Emmanuel macron and Gabriel atal together with extreme left parties have deprived the French people of political reforms that they had largely asked for by putting us first in the European elections and in last week’s first round with almost 34% of ballots in our favor but while it failed to finish first it was still a history-making day for the farri right party the national rally claimed 125 seats the highest of any single party in the French national assembly and 143 including its allies it was also their highest score on record up from 89 in the previous term Marine Le Pen remained determined but of course the party will play the role it has always played defending France and the French people defending the ideas for which we were elected because we are once again the only United and coherent group in the National Assembly the party was up against the Republican front made up of the left and Center alliances who called for anything but the national rally a call to which millions of Voters showed up in force for to the resentment of the party’s supporters the French were like beavers blocking out the national rally and that’s a shame because they didn’t vote for ideas they voted against ideas now the staunchest of the national rally supporters will be eagerly awaiting the 2027 presidential election
France’s far-right National Rally (RN) leader Jordan Bardella said on Sunday France had been “thrown into the hands of the far-left” after a bitterly disappointing election for his party. Nevertheless, the RN doubled its number of MPs and will now set its sights on the 2027 presidential election.

This is the latest and the most blatant example showing how demagogues use the party political system to advance their own agenda! It most certainly has nothing to do with democracy and ‘the will of the people’.
The sooner this system is dismantled and the ‘career politician’ abolished in favour of a system of DIRECT REPRESENTATION, the better off we as nations will be!
The USA had to see the hell that the left would bring to take a hard right turn and so will France have to see the destruction brought by the left to turn even harder right in a year?

I guess with the rough ride that expect France in the next 2 years, being at the fence and watching the left and the Macronites drawn while fighting each other, is an advantageous position to be in.
An alliance with the Republicans could benefit the Right, especially if LePen and Bardella tone down their "Alpha" stance a couple of notches.
Give the majority what the want today and then pick up the ripe fruit tomorrow.
