  1. A lot of things in the British museum are gifted or brought some of it it is spoils of war. But this meem is deeply disingenuous and just shows up the left’s contempt of the West and its history .

  2. If the moon had hit Africa (or Earth in general), we’d have much bigger problems than the British Museum “borrowing” it for a century or two.
There probably wouldn’t be any British Museum, or indeed any Africa.

  3. I would argue UK taking finds was a good thing.

Alot of countries have gone through civil wars and alot of these things would have been destroyed because of it.

Many were also gifted because uk helped them but everyone forgets that part.

  4. Think of these stars that you see overhead at night, these vast worlds which we can never reach. I would annex the planets if I could; I often think of that. It makes me sad to see them so clear and yet so far. – Actual Cecil Rhodes quote

We very much would have annexed the moon if we could have. When the Apollo astronauts arrived they could have taken the steam train.

  5. Fair enough. But the first flag standing on the Moon forever is American. Claiming the Moon land for them. To drill and extract oil.

Hope that the first man on Mars will be British. And leave an Arsenal flag standing there forever, just to make fun of the Americans.

  6. It shows respect to house an item in a museum for all mankind. And since no culture made the moon, it couldn’t be the property of Africans either.

  7. The British did land on the moon, there’s a very good documentary about it with a bald Yorkshire man and his dog.

  8. At least the artifacts are taken ca-

    *checks notes*

taken away… they were taken away…

  9. Would be a good joke if anyone had landed a human being on moon and the moon landing wasn’t the biggest hoax in human history.

  10. To be fair they left it in the open and no one objected when we brought the whiskey, guns and tobacco out the practically handed it to us

  11. If they wanted it they would have put a flag on it.

If they have a flag on it, if they wanted it they would have defended it better.

Therefore, nobody wanted anything and more likely they wanted the British to have it.

Yes…**sips tea…that sounds about right. The world loves us 🇬🇧
