More on AlNassr-Bento: the πΈπ¦ club reached an agreement with Athletico Paranaense based on a transfer fee set at β¬18mπ€―π€―.
Thats a little sad in my opinion. This level of quality going at such a young age to the Saudi League?
Missing out on Bento by 3m…
Another young player throwing his career in a dumpster fire
Hope he 10X his salary
Strange
[Fabrizio Romano]Bento to Al Nassr, here we go! Agreement in place between clubs with Athl. Paranaense for fee around β¬18m.
Bento will undergo medical and then sign long term deal at the club.
He was on Al Ittihad shortlist under former president but now set to sign for Al Nassr.
For 18m? This makes no sense all round. Why didn’t we try to reach an agreement closer to 18m? Yet we got Josep for 15m, why didn’t Bento force for the transfer to Inter and end up settling for a Saudi team and why didn’t Patanaense not just attach a sell on clause instead to get better future revenue. Oh well. What a waste.
Look, if his aspirations is to go to Saudi and swim in money, he’s not the fit for Inter. Bit sad but it is what it is.
Going to Saudi league when his career just started to hit its stride says a lot about his mentality as a professional footballer
We need players with drive and hunger not someone with a dollar sign
For every Taffarel, Julio Cesar and Dida, we bound to have a Bento once in a while
Yeah something odd going on here. Only 18m and no European clubs were interested? This will come out eventually
Wait, 18 million? Thatβs it? Thereβs no way we couldnβt match that. Has to be something we are missing here. Also why the hell would he go there? I mean obviously itβs the salary but what is it with players willingly throwing their future away by joining these leagues. I just canβt fathom taking money over playing in the top 5 leagues
18m btw.. Martinez cost 15. When that deal was done and I told people on here that it was a technical choice by Inter I was hurled with slurs and βcOpEβ. Inter picked, in their eyes, the better keeper for our system.
As a Brazilian inter fan, this hurts. If it was a technical choice, we made the wrong one. Martinez might be better with his feet, but Bento is superior between the posts.
Iβve to say that Athleticoβs president is very greedy. Itβs possible he asked us for more than 18M in the hopes of starting a biding war. Brazilian press reported that Bento pushed to sing for inter and that it was his dream.
They also reported that the money heβs getting is insane, and that he only accepted the offer after talking to Dorival and getting the green light, meaning heβs gonna keep being called for the NT.
For those who questioned the transfer amount.
Inter was not okay with the sell-on clause & high commission bonuses! (Rightfully so)
