Russia ramps up hybrid war against Nato nations with GPS jamming and cyber attacks

Russia’s hybrid war against Nato member nations has ramped up since the start of the war in Ukraine, with so-called grey zone attacks like GPS jamming and cyber-attacks being the new frontline.

In Finland, the captain of a pilot boat navigating the country’s southern coast filmed his radar screen to show the radio interference that he said left him without GPS for 90% of his trip – which the authorities say, is almost certainly Russian jamming in action.

Suspected Russian jamming is also targeting air transport across the Baltic States and other areas of Europe.

  11. Russia is a terrorist state, the US and all NATO/EU member nations should matter of fact classify it as such. We should pressure our trade partners (Mexico, India, Japan, S. Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, etc) as such, obviously some will refuse but the more that do the better. Those that refuse should have access to various advanced technologies limited to being nothing beyond 1999. Until Russia gets out of Ukraine and makes reparations at a minimum.

  27. Hey for those of us that are interested in cyber security no just thought I would share some information about DJT supported project 2025. Did you know that P25 wants to try stopping cybersecurity efforts to combat mis- and disinformation. The document recommends the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to stop its efforts to curtail online propaganda campaigns, arguing the federal government should not make judgment calls on what's true and what isn't.

  28. Europe blaming Russia for migrants undermining their countries is pretty rich after they allowed millions of people from the Middle East just walk in.

  29. the west is finally waking up to the fact that the east is being passive aggressive like western women, the west was confused whether the east was flirting or fighting.

  31. should note that russia uses gps especially in ukraine, as it does not get jammed by their enemy. its not really hard to jamm gps, all u need is very basic knowledge

  37. As any professional mountaineer will tell you it's great being able to use modern day tech such as GPS yet when it goes wrong you can only rely on your training.

  42. As someone who works in one of the industries being targeted since the invasion, I’m glad it’s finally getting more coverage. They have been attacking us for years now.
