On the night and morning of July 18, the city of Sevastopol in Crimea and the city of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar region of Russia were attacked by naval drones. This was reported by local telegram channels with reference to the leadership of both cities.

It is said that there were no casualties as a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones. In the footage circulated on Telegram channels, it appears that shots were fired and an explosion took place in the sea.

Head of the Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko confirmed that Novorossiysk was attacked by unmanned boats on the morning of July 18. Kravchenko wrote on his telegram channel that a siren was sounding in Novorossiysk because of the attack. He called on residents of the first coastline to take refuge in rooms where the windows do not face the sea. The head of the city announced that the attack signal for unmanned boats had been canceled, and the residents of Novorossiysk were not in danger. The consequences of the attack have not been reported.

A naval drone also tried to attack Sevastopol, the Russian-appointed head of the annexed city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said. “The loud sounds that were heard in the city were our military repelling an attempted attack by a surface drone. İt was destroyed,” Razvozhaev said. He did not provide other details.

The Ukrainian telegram channel Crimean Wind reported with reference to subscribers that explosions and shooting were heard in Sevastopol in the area of Cossack Bay. A Telegram channel published a video that allegedly shows the Russian military repelling an attack by a naval drone.

According to Crimean Wind, explosions were also heard near the villages of Mirny and Novoozernoye in Crimea. There is no independent confirmation of this information.
