Why do I feel like this particular guy will definitely be targeted in the future to get a reaction out of him?
More context: After speaking with their own player, Eintracht claimed the player had said “Digga”. Digga is an extremely common slang in German, especially among the younger generations. The word is derived from “dicker” which means “fatty”, or “big guy”. Digga is German slang equivalent to mate, bruh, bro or dude. It is either used as a term of endearment, simply the way “bro” or “dude” is used, or it can be used to convey mild annoyance. It has no racist connotation whatsoever and is used widely.
It should also be noted that Eintracht have been staunchly anti-racist and open-minded and multi-cultural for decades now. On that same U19 team that was involved in this game, only 5 out of 25 players have no migratory background. Eintracht show zero tolerance for racism whatsoever. If the club felt there was any chance there actually was racism involved, the club would’ve reacted very differently.
At least regarding the Frankfurt incident, this looks to be a very unfortunate misunderstanding.

I’ve noticed in many other incidents with claims of racism at sports, there doesn’t seem any proof of it.
It’s 2024, just about everyone has camera, you think someone could record fans saying anything racist.
