Hot air. The Essequibo question has been a thing for a while, and yeah it is disputed territory with a dodgy history that goes way beyond Maduro; But to militarily take it, that means crossing through Brazil, risking military intervention by the US and whole host of a shitshow literally no one wants.
This will be solved at a negotiation table or not at all.
Edit: Also this article doesn’t really showcase any new development, just anecdotes about people in the region.
