Russian occupiers are being so ideologically wound up so that they do not surrender that they often commit suicide, said Stanislav Krasnov, platoon commander of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

He noted that in the Toretsk direction, Russian occupiers often do not take the wounded.

“According to our intelligence, according to data from prisoners, they do not take the wounded here at all and force them to “move forward,” Krasnov added.

According to him, it happens that the wounded cannot move after a battle and lie there for several days.

“There is almost no evacuation. They are simply thrown forward without the possibility of returning back. The only way to return back is to successfully complete a combat mission, hold out for some time, and then maybe they will be replaced,” Krasnov said.

He added that the Russian occupiers promise their soldiers that they will be shot if they retreat and such cases are recorded. The commander noted that there are cases of shootings and physical punishment – they are beaten and tied up.

“They are actually more afraid of their own people than of ours,” Krasnov said.
