Forgive the voice over, took a video of it for the kids as they’ll find it interesting.
Anyway, it needs to go because it’s too close to the girls trampoline but, at the same time, I don’t want them to needlessly suffer.
I know I could spray a whole rake of wasp killer down it but that can’t be the best way to go, though I suppose it would be quick and maybe that’s enough

Have you tried a sternly worded letter? Preferably anonymous.
Can’t you just leave it? I do understand they are not pleasant, but we need them in what’s left of the eco system. Are they particularly dangerous?
If leaving them where they are isn’t an option then you are probably better off just killing them with a chemical spray, if you block the entrance they’ll just move somewhere close by and you’ll have the same issue…
If you feel guilty just think about how much those wonderful bees in the area will thank you for it. It’s got to go
Add some bricks in the shape of a U around the entrance and place a slab over it so they exit away from the trampoline but also hang some waspinators from the trampoline to repel them from the area
Unfortunately mate it’s probably best to exterminate. Wasps are great at cleaning up carrion but as you say I’d rather my kids’ wellbeing over that.
Half a litre of unleaded and a match!
Heavy concentrate of fairy liquid and a spry bottle. Just hit them while they are coming and going. Does the trick.
Issue a press release telling them that the country needs to start a conversation about them moving on.
Move house. Your home belongs to the wasps now. Resistance is futile.
A thermite grenade.
Ground wasps very rarely sting. There’s no queen to protect so they just do their thing. Call out someone who can dig up and remove the whole nest
Will unlikely be an issue until September when their diet changes to wanting more sugar and then they interface with human food a lot more.
Suit up, dig a huge hole around it and move to the end of the garden?
Do you actually need to remove it?
Wasps are fabulous creatures, predators that keep all sorts of insect pests under control, as well as building amazing structures themselves. We need wasps, so don’t remove them unless you really have no option.
Big bucket of boiling water and ton of wasp killer would do the job
Lynx can and lighter. Make sure to wear a bin bag and some sort of helmet.
firebomb or hefty stamp
trebuchet It to the annoying neighbours
Move house asap
Fill it up with hot raspberry jelly, when the jelly sets you pull out all of the wasps, then melt it again and they all fly away. This 100% works.
Smoke the nest with a small controlled fire , wait till they are dozy and then dig out the nest until you find the grubs remove them (excellent bait for fishing trout) refill the hole and monitor for activities
Humanely? Wasps?
Fire.
Bro they are wasps get rid of them they don’t perceive pain and suffering like us. Good bit of wasp killer down there and it’s done, a fairly quick way to go
Grenade
Connect some sort of pipe to the hole and redirect the wasps to elsewhere when entering and leaving.
Bonus points: when your enemies are near you can stuff the hose down their pants and run away.
Flame thrower the only humane way to do it for mankind.
