Fear and anxiety grip new Ukrainian recruits as they undergo intense training to combat Russian forces. Many, never having held a gun before, are thrust into the throes of war. “I was confused. I was unhappy… but I realised that this is inevitable,” says a new recruit, Callsign Chemist. Training is short and intense, with trainers like Callsign Farik stating, “We will try to make the best of them… quality over quantity.” As the war drags on, the struggle to prepare these recruits continues.   29. It is sad. I see dead men walking. The delusion of Ukrainian victory is so far removed from reality. It is time of Ukraine to surrender and have a peaceful settlement with the Russians. Zelensky should be locked up for acting like a president while is county and countrymen are destroyed by war.

  31. Absolutely disgusting how america has reduced this countries men for nothing. It's even more sad the guy at end thinks they can beat Russia with no experience. Russia's lost about 60,000 men total from almost 300,000 sent on day 1. Now they have almost 1.5 million highly trained soldiers that are constantly updated on combat techniques and technology. The saddest thing to ever see is a person with a fighting spirit going into certain death. FJB.!
