Putin at breaking point as footage hints Ukrainian push back on road to Pokrovsk | Michael Clarke

β€œThe road to Pokrovsk that now seems to be the main focus of whether the Russians are about to make a breakthrough and whether the Ukrainian can hold them.”

Putin is “running out of time” to make gains over summer as Russian losses continue to rise in their grinding push in Ukraine, Defence Analyst Prof. Michael Clarke tells Kate Gerbeau on Frontline.

  1. I don't see a Harris administration pressuring Ukraine to enter negotiations. Mr. Overly Cautious (Jake Sullivan) will go elsewhere and many of us think he will be replaced by someone (specific) more aggressive. The fastest way to end this war is to give Ukraine everything it needs. Let's see if Mark Kelly is her VP pick.

  2. How does handing over mineral rich eastern ukraine and the entire azov sea along with major ukrainian seaports + the stepping stone for the next invasion (crimea) to Russia a Russian loss? Modern math?

  3. Russia is also having financial stressors while Ukraine is starting to develop some munitions inside Ukraine. Poland has committed to 5% defense spending with a chunk of that for Ukraine. Europe is making plans to increase munitions production. And Ukraine's attacks on refineries are adding more financial stressors on Russia AND the massive increase in the cost of fuel to the western parts of Russia are starting to cause domestic unrest. Also I do think Russia is getting really short on troops. /they have pulled troops and some equipment out of Kalingrad and off the border with Finland

  4. If what you are saying is true I am amazed the Russian troops are not shooting their officers or mutinying. They must realise they are being put at risk intentionally by their commanders, as part of the battle plan. Is this akin to kamikaze attacks or suicide bombing ?

  5. Russia propaganda always will maintain his notes. Ukrainian drones are always destroyed the oil facilities catch fires and explosion by coincidence. πŸ˜‚

  6. The Russians are now pushing extra hard to make sure the Ukrainians use as much as possible their new munition now. Moscow is counting on the American voters to send Trump back in office. By then the Ukrainian stocks will be low again, and Trump will block new US aid. Europe won't be able to step in to the same extend. So all the Russians have to do is to wait until the prunes fall on the ground, while Trump no longer will help to defend the prunetree. With the blessing of the sometimes frivolous US voters, that is. Not sure if Harris will be able to take that dangerous man out with a Yoko Shiho Gatame … And if so, what will happen in the States…. Life is sometimes a bowl of sour cherries.

  7. When Russians start forfeiting on business agreements with the Chinese, there will probably be interesting developments in their national relationship. This would seem to be occurring with Ukraine and Hungary. But it will be more poignant with China and Russia.

  9. Putin I’d loosing and he’s playing a β€œSTALLING GAME” by calling Pentigon and trying to COMPLAIN AND GET US TO STOP UKRAINE FROM PUSHING * it’s a MANIPULATIVE PHONE CALL TO BUY TIME- Just like Puting made a CHECHEN PEACE AGREEMENT and broke it 4years later β€” just to BREAK THE AGREEMENTβ€” PENTIGON MUST NOT FALL FOR THIS TACTIC AGAIN WITH PUTIN

  10. Very depressing 😒 Ukraine can't win anything in the eyes of this guest. And yet despite his predictions they have destroyed the russian navy in the black sea
