As a resident of this fair county, I can confirm that there are a few slight bumps among all the flatness. If ever you choose to explore our coast, visit Beeston Regis. There’s a hill there. An actual _hill_!
That’s just perspective and the curvature of the Earth.
Noel Coward, if I recall.
Well that’s gone and debunked the “Flat Norfolk theory”
The Fens are flat. Walking through Norwich city centre is up hill in every direction
But Beeston Bump is the tallest hill in England!
We decided to go camping in Lincoln because we had never been there. We decided to make it interesting we would camp in the hills. They were 5 metres above sea level.
Is that place equidistance between London and Norwich?
I grew up in Great Yarmouth but I’ve lived in Hampshire for the past 14 or so years. I remember bringing my GF, who’s from the Isle of Wight, up to Norfolk to visit family. I still remember how blown away she was when we got onto the Acle straight at how damn flat everything is lol
