If anyone fancies a go, I've made this short (England-specific) quiz on naming the nine ceremonial counties that do not contain any roads designated as motorways.

including "A" roads with motorway-grade sections, e.g. the A1(M)

There are three minutes to try and get them all but do let me know if you think this time limit is a bit strict.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look!

  1. I was rubbish. Tested it on my dad though and he got all except for >!East Sussex and City of London. !< Bit weird that he didn’t get >!East Sussex!< given that he was born there, hahaha. Thanks for this!

  2. Oh duh, I had no idea >!Isle of Wight and City of London!< would be counted as counties!

    I didn’t get >!East Sussex!< either.

  3. I only got 4, Sheesh, if you knew who I work for… My trouble was remembering county names

  4. Got 4 which I’m happy with. One of them I thought of but got confused with a larger area. Also missed a bit for one of them

  5. I got 6/9, but then I got side tracked as my home county of >!Lincolnshire!<, the administrative county does not have any, but the ceremonial county does.
