  1. Is this question real?

It’s not good they dropped the spare but having a spare bike is not unusual in cycling. It’s much easier than trying to fix technical issues on a bike especially considering how much electronics goes into modern bikes.

A simple battery issue can disable everything on your bike except peddling and its been that way for about 15 years now.

You do realise these bicycles aren’t simple machines anymore right? I mean with the way bike technology filters down you can have a new fully electronic bike for around $1500 today.

Unless its something simple like a chain off you would get your spare bike out.

  2. That was comical yet tragic to watch especially knowing how far ahead she was at the first time check. Those three crashes then the tech slips and drops the spare. And I just watched Dygert crash. This is a tough race course.

  3. Burst out laughing at this, the Americans could have got 2 medals today but both crashing means a bronze.

Strategy matters so much for cycling and the Americans and Belgians both misjudging it.

  4. Favorite part of the olumpics is biking, mostly for the spills. But whatever, I’m bored with this rain conversation. Dygert has been complaining that France didn’t appropiately prepare the roads so he couldn’t see where the puddles were. I had one spill while delivering food on an ebike, how olympic athletes are struggling with wet roads I dont know. They literally only ride bikes for a living.
