These numbers can be misleading. Yes, Russia is taking a ridiculous number of *casualties*
A lot of people automatically assume that casualty is a kill, but it also includes injured. Most of this number is injured
A soldier on the battlefield who has been injured, taken off of the battlefield, treated, and returned to the battlefield multiple times can be counted as a casualty multiple times
The article says “up to 150,000 soldiers killed”. That’s a number I can believe.
