The first delivery of the F-16 fighter jets from NATO allies has arrived in Ukraine, in a long-awaited move that may boost war-torn nation’s ability to repel Russian attacks.
The deadline for the transfer of the US-made warplanes was the end of this month and it has been respected, according to people familiar with the matter, who spoke under condition of anonymity. The number of jets is small, they said.
It took more than a year to get here. President Joe Biden dropped his opposition to sending F-16s to Ukraine in May 2023, after repeated pleas by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and NATO allies to allow their transfer.

Good news. I think Ukrainian pilots have been training on them for the past year or so.
Too bad it is probably just a handful at a time and will be prime ground targets whenever they aren’t in the air. Hopefully these aircraft can unleash a lot of damage and quickly.
Me and my buds are already placing bets how long it will take before the Russians claim they shot one down, using old crashed F-16 pics that anyone with internet can trace back to the original source as “proof”.

Dont get excited folks, they only have a permission to use them as support for their air defence, shooting down drones and missiles, cant hit targets in russian airspace.
I wish the United States would stop being involved in foreign military conflicts. We need that money here at home.
