  1. Ive been saving this joke for today…

A mother falcon with her baby were in their nest watching an F-16 scream past.

Baby asks: Why cant i go that fast?

Mother says: Well if your ass was on fire, you would too!

I hope they kick some ruzzian ass. I know its not a game changer, but it will be a force multiplier. A big reason the counter offensive last year was stalled is because they had KA-52’s just out of range picking off the advancing tanks and AFV’s. These F-16’s will just delete them

  2. It says something of Western/US Aviation that a 45 year old fighter design still has a likelihood of helping establish Ukrainian Air Superiority.

  3. Hell yeah.  On my birthday.

Edit: in an effort to keep this on topic:  I am a US army vet; carried a machine gun; the Ukrainian army is one of the most impressive militaries I’ve ever seen/heard/read about.  Their tactics during the battle for Kyiv at the beginning of the war will be written about for hundreds of years.  The courage of their soldiers, airmen, and sailors is absolutely astounding.  They’re facing a “300” (Greek history) situation every single day of this war and still manage to hold their own or make some gains.  The amount of equipment they have destroyed is staggering.  Glory to Ukraine.  Slava Ukraini

  4. Must be why ruZZians been sending the huge swarm of drones recently. Well, since when did they need an excuse?

  5. I suspect this is why we saw such a large drone attack last night. Cat is out of the bag now.

  6. >It is unclear whether the trained Ukrainian pilots will be able to use combat aircraft immediately or the process will take longer, unnamed people told Bloomberg.

Let’s hope they didn’t deliver the jets for an arbitrary dealine if they’re not ready to use them yet. Good hunting to the pilots!

  7. I live near Twente airport, a former Dutch F-16 base where I used to watch these take off as a kid/teen. The fact that some of those I saw are now likely going to slam bombs and AIM-120s into orcs on the other side of Europe feels surreal but also warms my orange heart. These vatniks are nothing but trouble, do what you must.

  8. Soon we will have the moscovian claim that all 200 have been destroyed, plus the US aircraft carrier they came on.

I know, you won’t believe what I typed but the numbskulls in moscovia believe it all.

  9. HELLO RUSSIA RUSSIA ARE YOU THERE? JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT F16 ARE NOW IN UKRAINE.

Can we just not tell them? So, at least the first strikes will be a surprise?

  10. They just learned F-16 are coming. What happened to russian leadership ?

  11. I would say expect a non amazing opening to the new F-16s. They are likely to treat them very defensively at first as they work out kinks in their logistics. Using them to intercept missiles heading towards cities, maybe lobbing the occasional AGM-88 or AIM-120 at something.

Get some actual combat experience under their belt and then slowly start to push aircraft and anti air defenses back.

  12. Meanwhile in Russia: Dredging up WWII antiques and begging North Korea for low-grade artillery ammunition.

  13. This is about 8 months late (if true). First f16s were promised to arrive be end of 2023.

It’s been a long road and will take about a year before they will be in a position to perform significant missions. Emphasis on significant

  14. realistically, what can they be used for? intercepting Russian bombers? cause they got Patriots for that already. And HIMARs can hit ground targets. I don’t know much about modern war, genuinely curious

  15. Wait for Medvedev to sober up tomorrow to issue another Nuclear warning then another retaliation warning from Mr. P himself as well.

  16. I usually feel these announcements are several weeks after the fact. I’m willing to bet they’ve been there a few weeks now and may have already started operations
