I’ll be curious if infantry starts carrying an over/under combo assualt rifle and shotgun. I suspect the weight would be comparable to underslung grenade launcher options for rifles. I grew up quail/dove hunting and you can get pretty handy with a shotgun with a practice against birds on the wing. I’d be curious to see a charity skeet shoot type event put on with drones vs. men using shotguns. Then again, none of this would be necessary right now if child murdering dickheads didn’t invade other people’s countries.
