The funniest part being Pep wasn’t *not* winning in the early 00s… he wasn’t even managing.
He let them have a 9 year head start and still battering them
Mourinho: Nice try but no cigar
So basically Pep’s “off-years” involved getting his coaching badges and a US sabbatical. Meanwhile Ancelotti and Mourinho both matched his success in those years whilst employed by Everton and Spurs respectively
