After yesterday’s interview fiasco, I’m waiting for the NYT and Washington Post to start running stories about how Trump is too old and should drop out. I mean they did it to Biden after the debate so I’m sure they will do it with Trump too. Right?

He won’t drop out because of his ego. It would also be a bad move for the Party. They are going to lose. It would be foolish to sacrifice a candidate they feel has a chance at winning. If they pull Trump they lose Trump voters, and likely for a couple of election cycles. They don’t have time, and are way too far Crazy Right to tempt back the more moderate voters in any significant number.
I don’t want him to drop out! I want him to lose badly to a strong black woman, Harris. I don’t want some moderate Republican to step-in and have any chance of winning. This loser needs to lose on Election Day, again.

The weird part is that he and everyone knows he should drop out, but weirdly, no one in the GOP has the spine to say it out loud. The weirdo is gonna take it to the finish and my weird prediction is that the weirdo will lose even worse than he did to Biden. He will then loudly claim he won. He will then complete his journey into weirdness when President Elect/Vice President Harris certifies the election for herself.
I’d argue he got exactly what he wanted and broadcast exactly what wanted to his intended audience. He went into the lions den and told those uppity blacks what’s what, right down to even saying Kamala is what he (white men) says she is.
Given the size of his ego, there’s no universe where he drops out. And I’m okay with that. Let him keep having disasters like this.

My favorite part of the interview was when he claimed he “won” the Florida case on mishandling classified documents. That’s a very generous interpretation of events and that case is far from settled. The way he floods the in-zone with so much nonsense is insane.
