As best I can tell, the nearest bit of Ukrainian-controlled territory is about 2,500 km from Omsk. By way of comparison, Lviv is about 2,000 km from London, the North Cape of Norway, and Barcelona.
I have no idea if this fire is due to a Ukrainian drone; the Russians do seem highly competent at screwing things up for themselves. But if the Ukrainians are sending drones on missions 2,500 km long and the Russians aren’t able to spot and stop them, they are even more seriously fucked than I previously thought.
