Here’s mine at the Bay Horse in Goldsborough, just outside Knaresborough.

  1. That is a bloody lovely pub garden. Plenty of bushes to defile after a few carlings

  2. Winyards gap in Dorset, you can see out from the garden for miles across Somerset towards the blackdown hills.

  3. I wasn’t even hungry until I saw the fries. Now I desire a dash of salt and said fries. Then of course the pint to take the thirst.

  4. I’m a weirdo, I’ve never been a beer garden person. I go to the pub and drink in the evening but I can’t sit in/out side a pub during the day.

  5. There’s a pub in Wapping, London that is literally right on the Thames – I can never remember the name, but it was the old hanging / execution dock. Beautiful in summer. Love the history.

Found it – Captain Kidd pub, Wapping

Also a shoutout to the [Crown and Anchor](https://www.tripadvisor.in/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g186406-d1841240-i468997864-Crown_and_Anchor-Chichester_West_Sussex_England.html) in Langstone Harbour — near the crossing to Hayling Island

Also also a shout out to the [still & west](https://www.stillandwest.co.uk) in old Portsmouth

  6. I love the thought of getting a pint and a bit of food. But I bet that was enough to make it only for a birthday treat!

  7. The oyster bar, Ellenabeich, Scotland. You lookout over a flooded slate quarry towards Luing, Scarba and Jura.

  8. Saxon mill just outside Leamington Spa. Right on the river Avon with woods and a hiking trail to boot.

  9. The Black Horse Inn outside of Maidstone has a fairly substantial seating area outside and a garden that overlooks the Kent Downs

  10. Bloody hell, as I’ve got older I’ve become a side salad connoisseur…that looks alright – have a splendid afternoon OP!

  11. Duke of Cumberland Arms

    Unicorn Inn

These pubs are near Midhurst, West Sussex. I live nowhere near them but I found them both absolutely enchanting when I visited. My local pub gardens are decent but the views aren’t quite the same as the South Downs.

  12. The Port William in Trebarwith Strand is probs my all time fave. The Pilchard on Burgh island a close second.

  13. Man i miss pub gardens, too bad you’ll end up spending about £20 on 2 drinks nowadays :’(
