Not only is this awful for Hungarian youth that want to buy their own real estate but it is also a security risk for the EU.
What is there to explain? We know very well why they are doing it.

Because Hungary is a independent country and can allow whoever they want into their country, even if the EU does not agree with it.

It’s time to strip Hungary of any formal eu benefits. They can still be there, just no added benefit at all.
Why? Just tell Hungary that we will impose border controls on Hungary to the rest of the EU.

A genuine question: if Hungary can unilaterally change their visa requirements, can’t the other countries do as well? If that is the case, can’t the rest of Europe just close the borders to Hungary? I know Schengen doesn’t allow border control in theory, but in practice is very much done, so why not just establish controls again and limit the access of Russians to the rest of the union.
It’s a working permit, similar to those issued to Sri Lankan and other non-European workers. If anyone needs to explain anything, it’s Germany and Merkel, who invited millions of fake refugees who are still lingering around Europe.
Imagine if the EU were this quick to act about illegal immigration from the South.

We urgently need to think of how to put pressure on Hungary. Put tariffs and sanctions. We cannot kick them out but we can pressure them to exit the EU. For good.
I think the EU piliticians can’t really wrap their head around the populist hungarian politics. You can’t expect these criminals to respect any of the rules. They are not accountable. They will push their own aggenda no matter the cost. And honestly there is no cost. All the diplomatic relations are allready severed and there is no real consequence of doing stunts like this. It’s just naiviti to think that calling these people out for the 100th time will solve anything.
The eu allready lost most of her prestige being sabotaged by one of his own member. The union is only humiliating itself at this point by letting this happen.
We should block their border with us (Croatia). When their tourists start having problems returning to Hungary I think they would start singing a different tune.
Now the problem wouldn’t be refugees, but FSB agents. Russia is such a cancer to western civilisations.
