  1. Alexandra & Ainsworth Estate btw

‘Along with 520 apartments, the site also includes a school, community centre, youth club, heating complex, and parkland’

    wow

  2. The Alexandra & Ainsworth Estate is pretty well known, “interesting flat thing” really I mean there’s a sign literally in the photograph with its name on it.

  3. This is where some scenes of Juliette Binoche’s movie Breaking and Entering were filmed…

  4. when i was 19 i did some roofing and we did some insulation on the balcony’s, some little sh!ts undid the bolts to the scaffolds and one morning i went up there to place the generators on the top scaffolds and the thing started to move and i had to climb into somebody’s balcony and had to wait for the occupants to let me through and the inspection team to look at every bolt. I now work in IT (not roofing)

  5. Horrifically ugly crime ridden estate. Very poorly designed flats with tiny kitchens and bathrooms. Desperately in need of demolition and replacing with something modern and vibrant. Building shit like this should’ve been illegal – it would be today.

  6. Is this the ones in Bloomsbury, because there are flats like this there?

Oh I see they’re in Camden

  7. I love the weaving together of brutalist concrete and plants, all JG Ballard prehistory/future vibes, it’s just the best

  8. Rowley way. It is a surreal place that does have a nice neighbourly vibe. The car park underneath has a hell of a lot of drug activity tho

  9. Love this estate and looks right out of place in abbey road but its distinct and kinda retro-futuristic

Yep been used in many music video shoots and movies too. Especially loved the parkour scene in kingsman.
