Would have been awesome if they had this event in earlier games too. I’d say another 3 golds for Bolt easily.
Great picture, will never be forgotten for sure <3
This competition is really meaningful. When I watched the live broadcast, I was so excited that my blood was boiling! They are really amazing!
And this was in the first heat, smashing the previous record of 3:08.80 by over a second, and the Olympic record of 3:09.87 by 2 seconds. It will stand for a good, long time. Looking forward to the next race!
Why do a lot of sprinters have insanely defined arms?
that last leg was ridiculous!
Why a hard picture?
While it’s a great deal, and even more surprising that it was done in the heat, the picture is very meh in itself
The final won’t be close unless the United States screws up. It wasn’t going to be particularly close anyway, but then Netherlands lost its top 400 male Liemarvin Bonevacia to a torn tendon. He was declared out just hours before the race.
Somehow NBC didn’t bother to mention it. Then they were bewildered regarding why the Dutch weren’t dominating their heat.
Cathelijn Peeters actually did an excellent job subbing for Femke Bol at anchor. Peeters is 27 and was never a starter on the relay until last year. Bol will return for the final tomorrow.
Hard?
Watching this, the US squad did not seem so excited indeed. They were very passive about achieving a world record. Is this because they feel they will be substituted out by other runners for the final, or are they just a group of 4 subdued characters? They really only started to smile in this photographing.
Why hard? Non yank here so don’t understand context
