There are loads of these in the woods just now and they’re delicious. I hardly ever see or hear about people picking them or even knowing what they are- seems strange when you see what the Swedes do with lingon berries and the Russians do with sea buckthorn.

bilberries or blaeberries
I sometimes come across someone with a weird looking broom contraption that supposedly separates the berries from the plants when you rake it through. I love them as well but I restrict myself to stuffing my face while on walks in summer.
