Flag in Altschlossfelsen

There’s a mural in our hotel room of a rock formation in Altschlossfelsen, in Eppenbrunn (Rhineland-Palatinate). There’s a blue and white flag with a cross next to it, but other than that I have no details or clues as to what or who it represents. If anyone has any information, I’d love to know what it is for!
