We seem to be getting a lot better at getting silver and bronze metals
Might be better titled with some mention of “running total” – the current title implies these are unique medals won each day.
Not sure if the total medal count by day means too much since the schedule changes each time. 1 thing that is consistent though is that swimming starts off the schedule and track starts week 2.
In 2021, the swim team had a very good start for the US. Track and field was pretty disappointing in 2021 though. 2024 seems to be the opposite. The swim team has been very disappointing this year. They said on the broadcast today that the US hasn’t lost the gold medal total in swimming since 1956. The hope is that the track team picks up the slack.
It seems the US as a whole has been doing better at some of the random events that they dont typical medal in this year.
Could you do same for Finland? Xd
Thank you for this, was curious how this was tracking and whether the 39 US golds from the last Olympics was likely to be beaten or not.
