DB Timetable Change

I was scheduled to travel on ICE 655 from Köln Hbf to Berlin Hbf on August 23rd at 18:45. I got a notification on the DB app saying "Due to timetable changes, information on your connection is no longer up to date. Please check the current travel options." It looks like ICE 655 has been removed from the timetable, but I am not sure what the updated departure/arrival times the app is now displaying is referring to. As far as I can tell, there is no journey matching those times on the timetable?

Am I able to just take an earlier/later train instead while using my existing ticket? My ticket is a Super Sparpreis. When I click "Search for Alternatives" it tells me I need to make sure my ticket is actually valid for the alternative journey.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

  1. Yes, you can just take an earlier journey. The Zugbindung is null in this case.

It wants you to take ICE 655. Your original train in the small text on the bottom is canceled.
