“Exploited” is a tricky word, because in some contexts it’s an emotive word meaning to take unfair advantage of someone, but in other contexts it’s a neutral word that just means to make full use of.
To call it a Freudian Slip, is to start with the assumption that he has underhanded intentions and then use that assumption to make this choice of words prove your assumption. It’s circular logic.
What’s more, it’s an editorialised article solely about a single comment a US politician made; nothing of significance has actually *happened* here so I question its appropriateness for this sub.
