60% of todays workers are in occupations that didn’t exist in 1940

The jobs our grandchildren will do haven’t been invented yet.
Top 3 are Professionals, Managers, and Clerical & Admin.
Don’t produce shit, and will be eventually replaced with AI
It’s almost as if job destruction and job creation are a natural function of a healthy economy.
If you are LUCKY you might make it through your entire career without an advancement that has you looking for a new one. People always seem to be so surprised about layoffs, almost as if humans were created with an existing economy and all of these jobs we have were there from the beginning.
Obviously not all layoffs are for this purpose.
Well yeah they also had more jobs in farming, factories, and mining then as well because automation hadn’t kicked off yet.
