  1. I’ll start laughing at this type of exceptionalism once I stop have to deal with the council and police letting fascist-adjacent sectarian bigots and their drunk violent hangers-on march past my home every few Saturdays

  2. What’s happening in England is terrible and it’s being done by a minority of racist thugs.

What England needs is our empathy and help, it’s not flag waving and mocking.

    This isn’t the time.

  3. Just curious, are any of the anti-immigration riots/protests in Scotland? I’ve seen that multiple cities across England are having them and Belfast too, but what about Scotland?

  4. Oh look at us we’re Scottish and everyone like us.

Truth is we’re sheltered from a lot of the issues down south as we don’t have as high levels of immigration and we’re not as multicultural.

  5. There’s no real reason to think this stuff couldn’t happen in Scotland. We don’t have a monopoly on being good guys. I remember the night of the referendum I was out for dinner near George Square and there were hundreds of union jack waving morons out making a mess throwing stuff at police and having a wee march through the town. No reason to think that if that demographic decided to have themselves a riot in the centre of Glasgow that we wouldn’t be seeing coverage from here that looks the same as the coverage from England right now.

  6. Things are calm down south where I am, which is something. It does make you ashamed to be English watching this filth unfold. I can say id much rather be in Scotland than in the middle of a riot though.

  7. A crude and Primitive post drenched in smugness. Your neighbour is in crisis. And all you do is hate.
