Can F16s shoot down S-300 or S-400 missiles? If so, I wonder if Ukraine could run coordinated attack runs with 2 or 3 F16s. When Ukrainian radar detects a Russian plan making a glide bomber run, 3 F16s could begin an attack. One aircraft shoots at the Russian plane dropping the bomb and the other 2 F16s monitor for incoming S-400 missiles, and taking them out if they are launched.
Better still, the new Swedish AWACS could provide early warning of the S-400 launch and even pinpoint the launch site. The AWACS can send real time targeting data to the anti air missiles fired by the F16s to make sure the S400 missile is intervepted. An ATACAMs battery could then attack the S-400 site. Ukraine could turn these anti-glide bomb plane attacks into twofers, taking out any SAM sites that end up exposing themselves.
