My research permit 18d is expiring soon, can I start an internship at a company? The picture is from my Zusatzblatt. I've worked on my current status as a PhD for more than 2 years, can I switch to working in non-research domains as an intern?

After working two years in a normal job with compulsory insurance you are allowed to do any other job. You still need a valid residence permit though.
