sorry for not mentioning the name of the spanish athlete in the title because it’s already too long, but context is Carolina Marin was leading the semifinal series against He when she sustained an injury and had to withdraw. Marin could not participate in the match for bronze due to her injury.
when interviewed, He said,
> my opponent was injured during the semifinals, and i felt heartbroken for her. Marin is an outstanding athlete, and > i had hoped to be able to play better in the finals with her fighting spirit. i hope she sees this, and i wish her a > speedy recovery.
I hope the media pick this up. Sportsmanship is not dead!
