Living in India, how is our neighbourhood so shit? Seems like Bhutan is our only stable neighbour.
Granted Myanmar military is the worst, but I doubt there is a good ending to this war. Even if the military is completely defeated and an attempt to restore democracy is made, the country is literally full of hundreds of armed militias of various ethnic groups. These groups are not exactly keen on centralisation of power or even fond of other ethnic groups.
The best case scenario is a weak democratic government at the capital, with the provinces pretty much run by these ethnic armies and warlords.
This is exactly the sort of thing which happens in Africa.
