Army of Ukraine destroyed Russian Su-34 fighter jet. İt is noted that on the night of August 3, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Morozovsk military airfield in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation with 40 drones. Eighteen of them reached their target, causing a powerful explosion at the facility.

As a result of the strikes, a Su-34 fighter jet, a warehouse with aircraft weapons were destroyed, and the air traffic control center was also hit. The Telegram channel “Spy Dossier” reports the details.

The attack on the Morozovsk airfield, where the 559th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces is stationed, was carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the night of August 3. Approximately 40 Ukrainian drones were flying in the direction of this military facility. Eighteen drones reached their designated targets, the rest were allegedly destroyed or suppressed by the “best in the world” Russian air defense.

“As a result of the strike, a Su-34 fighter was destroyed; a warehouse with aviation weapons was destroyed; a strike was carried out on the flight control point. The airfield’s engineering equipment was slightly damaged,” the author of the public lists the consequences of the attack.

The enemy’s aviation weapons were completely destroyed, and another 4 technical buildings and 2 hangars at the airbase, located 265 kilometers from the front line, also received damage that was clearly visible from space.

At the same time, he drew attention to how much the effectiveness of Ukrainian drone attacks has increased. The same “Morozovsk”, recalls the “Spy Dossier”, was attacked in early April 2024. Then even more drones were flying to this military facility: there were over 50 of them. However, none of them were able to reach the target: all the damage was limited to the fall of two drones suppressed by air defense on the runway. This by the placement of modern electronic warfare systems around the perimeter of the airfield, which were able to ensure the fall of the UAV on approach to the facility.

And although the mentioned electronic warfare systems remain in place, this time they were unable to prevent the attack.

“Apparently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have re-equipped their UAVs, making them more resistant to the effects of electronic warfare systems,” suggests the Spy Dossier.

Let us recall that on the night of August 3, powerful explosions thundered in the area of the Russian occupiers’ military airfield “Morozovsk” in the Rostov region.

According to the international intelligence community InformNapalm and OSINT investigators, the fire occurred on the territory of the Russian fighters’ parking lot. According to preliminary data, the enemy has lost aircraft.

In addition, numerous fires were recorded at the Russian airfield as a result of secondary detonation after the attack by Ukrainian drones.
